Summer begins. Dad and I built a scale replica of the swing from Far View Ranch Camp, Becca's summer camp; Dad later called it the "Near View" swing.
June is a funny time for us, because when the third-year residents graduate and the new inters arrive, there are various celebrations, most of which are lobster bakes. I am allergic to shellfish, and Becca doesn't like lobster, so we eat a lot of hamburgers and hot dogs for those few weeks. (We went to three lobster bakes over one four-day period.) One of the lobster bakes was a wedding for two former residents, Tari and Ranjiv, who were married overlooking the beach in South Portland on one of the hottest days of the summer.
