We get a lot of fallen leaves in our backyard, but not really enough to do serious leaf-jumping. Our neighbors, however, have a huge tree and massive leaf piles. I helpfully took pictures of the kids playing while Darren raked.
The day after the first big snow of the year, we went to our other neighbors' house at Moosehead Lake for the weekend, to play Jenga and cut our Christmas trees. Rebecca selected one about fifteen feet tall, which I felled and then cut in half to allow it to fit under our 7.5 foot ceilings. It's our first Christmas tree.
