We ended the summer with a Labor Day weekend at Cape Cod with our friends the Emerys.
The school year began, and along with it, soccer. A huge fraction of kids in Cape Elizabeth participate; we estimated nearly 50% of all the kindergarteners were there on the first day. They separate the kids into "teams" of 10 or so kids. There were so many that they ran out of colors and had both a light blue and a dark blue team.
